Today, the furniture industry no longer uses wood as the exclusive material in its production processes. Plastic materials were introduced quite a long time ago and took over a wide range of functions: from synthetic surfaces, e.g. in combination with laminate, up to polyurethane substructures that are used in the production of seats.
Most of the applications for process aids can be found especially in the area of polyurethane. This additive does not change the physical properties of the PU system but leads to a release effect so that an external release agent is no longer required.
