High-quality release agents are crucial in die casting processes and contribute significantly to the quality of the casted part.
Prolonged mould service lives and low material consumption (micro-lubricants) constitute important criteria for the profitability.
Water-Based Mould Release Agents
Adequate Release Agents for any Alloy
We created our die casting release agents with two essential key factors in mind: economy and efficiency.
Implementing our high-grade die casting release technology allows further processing steps like gluing, painting, welding without prior surface treatment to the casting. Our product range offers process aids to help you meet even the most challenging, product-related quality aspects by enhancing both, visual appearance and physical properties of the casting.
We offer ready-to-use or concentrate release agents for aluminium, magnesium and zinc die casting.

Short-Spraying
Easy Switching
In order to facilitate the switch from conventional water-based release agents to micro-lubricants we recommend short spraying as interim solution.
Our water-based emulsions exhibit very good creeping and effectively prevent build-ups of release agents on the moulds and mould frames. Since most of our products are delivered as concentrates they are particularly economic.
Advantages when using Short-Spraying
- Application using conventional spray equipment
- Hot-Spots are cooled
- Possible reduction of spray volume up to 90%
- Reduced cycle time
- Reduced wastewater volume
Micro-Lubricants
Minimum Quantity Lubrication – Maximum Effect
Utilisation of micro-lubricants significantly reduces material consumption as compared to conventional water-based release agents.
Application is usually done by means of specific dosing systems that allow for atomization, thereby applying only minimum quantities. However, since micro-lubricants do not sufficiently dissipate the heat users should ensure additional means for heat dissipation such as internal mould cooling circuits.
Advantages when using Micro-Lubricants
- Very low material consumption
- Significant prolongation of mould service life since temperature changes are omitted
- Enhanced quality of casted parts, prevent cavities
- Reduced cycle times thanks to decreased spray and blow times
- Reduced storage costs
- Oil-based products: Omit stability issues – not sensitive against frost and bacterial or microbiological attack
- Easy to handle – no dilution with water, no costly water treatment plants required
Our portfolio comprises both water-based and oil-based micro-lubricants.
